Marie Durflinger, DDS
With over 25 years of experience in state-of-the-art dental healthcare, Dr. Marie Durflinger has earned the respect of her peers and confidence from her patients because of her passion for the art and science of dentistry. Meeting the challenges of staying current with the newest trends and technology in the dental field, Dr. Durflinger is able to focus on the prevention and diagnosis of dental disease in her patients, ultimately reducing their pain, discomfort, and costly procedures down the road.
Dr. Durflinger has gained the knowledge and training required to give her patients results that are not only functional, but long-lasting as well. Her education in dentistry began at the University of Washington, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Durflinger continued on to Loma Linda University, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Receiving post-graduate training that focused on all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Durflinger has earned Mentorship status at the Kois Center for Advancing Dentistry through Science. In addition, Dr. Durflinger is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Washington State Dental Association.
An elite member of the dental community, Dr. Durflinger’s dedication to continuing education and excellence in dentistry has earned her recognition as a Featured Dentist in Dental Economics, Feature Presenter at the Washington Athletic Center, and Top Dentist from Seattle Metropolitan from 2009 to the present. Her numerous journal publications have included “A CSI Approach to Diagnosing Dental Disease”, “All Tooth Pastes Are Not Created Equal”, and “Your Dentist Can Detect Oral Cancer Early”.
A native of Washington, Dr. Durflinger has enjoyed all the wonderful things this area has to offer. Her leisure time is most often spent boating, traveling, attempting to learn the game of golf, and she loves sharing good food and wine with friends. Dr. Durflinger also actively volunteers and helps raise money for local organizations, including the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Auburn and Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and is now a board member of Seattle Celebrity Waiters.
